Thanks so much for your article on Evidence-Based Nursing Practice in the Spring issue of CorrectCare. It is refreshing to see that in our field, this is important also. Too often we are buried by budget cuts, low staffing and so many other factors and personalities. Bringing professional nursing back into the practice gives the due importance to what we all do each day. I appreciate the resources given also.
Thank you.
Thank you for the kind feedback,Donna! I hope you visit here often and continue the dialogue.
Your article regarding EBNP in the Spring 2009 issue of CorrectCare was great. I have been an NP for 10yrs in corrections and agree that correctional nursing has seen it’s share of ritual, opinion and the old, tired chant of “That’s the way we’ve always done it.” I believe to attract and keep nurses in this field we must strive to keep ourselves informed of nursing practice research findings and disseminate this information to our nursing staff so stagnation and disinterest don’t take hold. Again, Kudos on a wonderful article!
Lets work together to make a change for good, Glenda! Thanks for your comments – Lorry
I enjoyed the VERY informative article about HIV care here on this website AND the Evidence Based Nursing Practice article posted on the CMS website. I appreicate your clear concise approach that allows a non clinical professional, like myself to grasp the whole story. Thanks so much,
Thanks for your feedback, Nancy. I am glad to be of service on your journey into correctional healthcare!
Wow, I’m impressed with your site Lorry. Just curious, how did you get started on the web? You are leap years ahead of me, and I’d love to learn how I can continue to develop Nursing Ideas.
